Certain people like to use certain statistics (like relative risk reduction *cough cough*) to exaggerate the positive benefits of a certain drug or intervention. This website lasers past that and looks at the cold hard numbers. The NNT refers to “number needed to treat,” which is the inverse of the absolute risk reduction.
